Want More Matches?

Most people set their ACCEPTABLE requirements to be too restrictive. For instance, if you have selected only certain nationalities as Acceptable, you may exclude someone who typed in "Welsh" as an OTHER instead of indicating that they are from the United Kingdom. Other examples might be a man who's looking for a much-younger woman--or a woman looking for a much-taller man.

Many have expressed confusion about the Racial Background section of the PREFERENCES. As the page states, the percentages in this section do not have to add up to 100%. In fact, it's okay to put 100% in several categories, and especially in your own racial group, since you are stating a maximum that you would accept or prefer.

For example, someone might put the following for their ACCEPTABLE settings:
      White (Caucasian): 50%
      Black (Negroid): 100%
      Oriental (Asian): 50%
      Indian (American, South/Central American, or Canadian): 100%

And for their PREFERRED settings, the percentage in each category must be equal to or smaller than the ACCEPTABLE number:
      White (Caucasian): 25%
      Black (Negroid): 100%
      Oriental (Asian): 25%
      Indian (American, South/Central American, or Canadian): 50%

Another common situation is that while several people in our database may meet your requirements, you do not meet theirs. If this is the case, you will not be able to see their complete profiles unless you are eligible to sign up for PREMIUM membership. (You can see a sneak preview of any members in this category by looking for a link at the bottom of your SEE MY MATCHES page.)

Also, our system will not present you with matches who have seriously conflicting views on important issues.

The Adventist Contact matching system is automated. You need not contact us to request matches; they are generated daily and displayed on your SEE MY MATCHES page. If you've changed your PREFERENCES or other settings, you can click the SEARCH FOR NEW MATCHES button to check the database again.

Our database is still growing. While Adventist Contact has been providing service for many years, our online version is new. (Hard copy or "snail mail" service is no longer offered.) Please be patient as our membership builds. Typically we have many more women than men in our files, so please encourage any eligible single men of your acquaintance to give Adventist Contact a try!
